The amazing people at Children's Cup asked if we'd interview the kiddies about our journey to Africa and what it means to them. So, we held a family art clinic at the dining room table this evening. Ave, in all of his first grade art class wisdom, said that we were doing some 'crayon resist overlapping'.
What follows are their finished products:
Avery: "I want to be a mishenare beacas I love to help. I love sharks and I hope to see some in Africa. I love monkeys."
Iliea: "I want to help African kids and do all of that fun stuff. We can take care of them and help them read their books. I still want to go banana picking. I drew a giraffe so I could give it to one of the kids in Swaziland."
Ellie: "I want to hold babies and have snacks. I will be a missionary and sing songs. I will probably see monkeys there. My drawing says 'E-L-L-I-E' and it's a picture of an African baby, a girl kid, and she's playing with me."
