So, we're doing round two and one-half of the garage sale... actually just tonight and tomorrow. I left it set up in the garage after Saturday of last week, and thought I'd give it one more go before tearing it down and getting our garage back. It's a whole lot of work... but ooooh so fun to declutter and seeing all of these dimes add up for Swaziland.
With the sale on the brain, I just needed to share how we have been incredibly blessed by one special family. My dear friend messaged me on Facebook: "I have lots of jewelry to give to you if you'd like it. I had bought the starter package a year ago and it never went well. I want to give it to you in the hopes that you can get money for Africa. I am not attached to it at all -- in fact, it reminds me of a bad business decision, so I am glad to give it to you with the hope it sells. I have been wanting to help, and we are low on cash right now, so this is one little way I can help."
For my dear friend, this seems so little to her and probably such a small contribution -- however, to me, this is HUGE. This is God's economy, not ours, and I am just amazed that she has blessed us in this way. Check out all of the bling -- is this not incredibly fun?!?
The girlies and I just had so much fun setting up all of the jewelry (Ave showed no interest!), and Iliea wanted a picture in the midst of all of the bling... I have a feeling that she will be my little manager in the 'jewelry department' of the sale tonight and tomorrow.
It's a good thing that we're keeping a blessings journal, for we have a huge update for Wednesday, May 26th. We're so honored, and God continues to be so incredibly faithful through so many wonderful people. Wow. More tears -- you'd think I would get used to all of this. :) Thank you, dear friend... you have done something so incredibly special, and it means so very much because I know that your heart for Africa is overflowing. Thank you for sending us... I love you.
"Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He's the one who will keep you on track." Proverbs 3:5-7 (MSG)
