I've done some feature blog posts on Avery... he's a pretty cool kid. But, I believe that part of what makes him so cool is that he has two beautiful little sisters to look after, to help soften and level out all of the testosterone in him, and keep that heart of his so huge.
So, here goes -- 'Spotlight on the Sisters'!
Iliea and Ellie aren't twins, but we're asked that daily -- multiple times daily, really. I know that it doesn't help that I dress them alike, keep their hair alike, and that they look just a little bit alike, but they're really as different as much as they're 'twinnish', like probably most twins are. When we're asked the age difference between them, I've always said '20 months', but I did the math yesterday (after all this time!) and realized that they're closer to 22 months apart. Ooops... I think life got a little crazy when we added the third and I lost any left-brainedness that I once had (which isn't much).
At last check-ups, there was probably three inches or so between the girlies, but Ellie (the younger one) outweighed Iliea (the older one) by almost a pound. And, if you had the chance to pick them up and love on them, you'd most definitely feel the difference in weight -- and build in general. Our sweet Iliea is built like a preschool ballerina. Petite with a little tummy, and very graceful. Our adorable Ellie-Boo is built more like a preschool linebacker or hockey forward. She's short and a little stubby... solid as a rock. Be careful when she drops her shoulders and comes running to you for all she's worth. Boo-Guard, as Daddy affectionately calls her (or Boogaard if you're a Minnesota Wild fanatic!) will take you out!

Iliea has such a servant's heart. She loves to serve and help whenever and wherever she can, and Ellie has a beautiful way of praying when no one's watching or prompting her to do so. These sisters love the Lord and will do amazing things in their lifetimes. Look out, Swaziland... the Prince girlies are on their way. :)
