Little Skater Brother...

34
If you're looking for a snapshot of our Monday morning, you've come to the right place!

We just finished breakfast -- and were beginning to get ready for school (getting dressed, brushing teeth, making our way to the table, etc.) The kiddies got sidetracked... and so did I. There's only about a million things going on in this house, so derailment is inevitable lately.

Avery was looking at the Target toy catalog (grrrr... it's become our nemesis {definition: unbeatable opponent}), Iliea got out the polly pockets, and Ellie ran off and put on a summer halter dress, which is very typical. Boo will easily change clothes 4-5 times a day, and she is the "layering queen" which makes our laundry situation very interesting. I became immersed in a project or two, and was unaware of my surroundings.

Somehow in the midst of the derailment, Ellie was smuggled downstairs by Avery and returned as this:

I have to admit that I've never seen either of our girls in anything but pink (or something close to pink). Avery always talks about getting a little skater brother in Swaziland. Looks like he made his wish come true a little early, although this little skater brother looks a little smug and not very thrilled. :)

Don't worry, El -- Avery will get sidetracked soon, too -- and when he's not looking we'll break out the bubble bath, nail polish, lip gloss, and pink feather boa. You'll be back to "normal" in no time at all.
