Our Three Fashionistas...

34
It's another "last" that we celebrated yesterday.

Gearing up for our final Halloween in the States, we asked the kiddies to get creative and find something around the house that they could use for their costume. No sense in buying something for them to wear for one evening, only to have to get rid of it with everything else.

When Avery found out there was prize at stake, he went all out, trying to find the "wackiest" costume ever, and he wanted to dress up as a girl. No objections in this house. We have enough of the girlie and pink stuff to go around.

The girlies chose their ballet recital costumes, which was a huge blessing for us. What an awesome thing to get a little more use out of these tutus before Africa.

The finished products (drumroll, please!):

Ellie, Sally (Ave's name for the creation), and Iliea

Every ounce of the design work on "Sally" was done by Avery, and every little thing we already owned., other than the dollar spent on hot pink lipstick and the well-spent quarter on the Fancy Nancy sunglasses.

"I can't believe that I won a $5 Target gift card from 'Go Wacky' just by using my brain!"

A huge thanks to River Valley Church-Savage for putting on such an awesome event.

And, in case you're wondering -- Avery has already spent his huge winnings. On the way home, I gave in and swapped with him. Sally wanted a CD on iTunes, so I took a hit and will spend my $5 on toilet paper for the family. I'll gladly take one for my sweet team. :)
