As we wrap up Thanksgiving festivities... we are thankful:
-For great friends to spend the holiday with. Rob and Dana (Germehle) Gotz and Greg and Stef Carlson are so very dear to us, and are basically family. We have friendships (and stories!) that span decades and date back to grade school, which is even more fun. We love you, friends -- thanks for an awesome day. Too bad we blew you boys away in "Battle of the Sexes". :)
-For new friends to spend the holiday with. Jason and Jenelle Robertson -- it was very awesome to get to know and your sweet boys better. What a blessing that even Facebook friends can hook up every once in a while!
-For beautiful kiddies and beautiful families.
-For our sweet four-legged firstborn. Ten years ago tonight, living in Kansas City, we brought home an eight-week old bulldog (after charging him to a credit card -- ugh!) and named him Bambino. What a beautiful ten years it's been with our punkin. Yes, he's much more work than all three kiddies combined, but sharing life with him all these years has been the best.
-For an incredible realtor that continues to work tirelessly to get this house sold, and for his beautiful wife. Weeks ago she messaged me offering a tree with the trimmings (since we had sold ours along with most of our decor), and a delivery was made for us this morning. Between what they shared with us and what we had saved on this end, we were able to put together something very special for our last year in the States.

We are thankful:
-For eleven beautiful years that we'll celebrate this weekend -- so thankful for an incredibly fun marriage that continues to get better by the day. It's true -- Japaswaziwegians (and their wives!) do have more fun!
-For the amazing provision in our journey -- and the honor to serve Him in Swaziland beginning in 78 days.
Above all else... we are most thankful:
That we are able to love... because He first loved us.
