03I ran across a few pictures on my phone today. I hadn't downloaded any since before we left the States. Just a few of our favorites... thought I'd pass them along from "across the pond".

This was taken in the house chambers at the state capital in St. Paul, Minnesota -- we were so excited to receive a tour from our very favorite state representative Tara Mack. She encouraged us to get up in the “hot seat”, so Steph took liberties with the gavel. After a great tour and lots of fun factoids (with added commentary by her husband and RVC missions pastor extraordinaire, Justin), we shared appetizers at Pazzaluna. Super fun -- and so stinkin’ cool, as Justin would say. :)

A quick pic taken with dear friend Stef Carlson (Greg’s wife, for you Nekoosa readers!), just before heading out for an evening with Dana Gotz. I love you, sweet friends... can’t wait until you come to Africa to see us (that mean you also, Gotz fam... you need a return trip!). Stef, you had better get that Target job to start your Swazi travel fund. Time is ticking!
In the midst of our packing the week before we left, I found my husband wandering the house, trying to figure out which suitcase to pack the new storage containers in... all while wearing his LeJeune jobsite hard hat. Had to snap this pic -- could be used as leverage in the future.

Two evenings before we left, we spent a very fun evening at Chino Latino with some very special people. Jami Shull and I ordered foo-foo drinks which were served in whole pineapples with a flower. Of course the flowers ended up in our hair. I love you, Jami Kay Shull.
And, for the now...
We took a wrong turn today (driving on the correct/left side of the road), and ended up right by one of Children’s Cup’s CarePoints, Mangwaneni-Mbabane, and it brought back many, many memories of our visit in 2009. This incredible view was on our way down. Isn’t it beautiful? This is Swaziland, the “Switzerland of Africa.”
Then and now. We loved our then... and we are cherishing every moment of our now. :)
