Snapshots of our Sunday...

34

Today was a busy day -- just a typical day in ministry I would imagine. We began early, and finished late -- but had lots of fun in between.

We left our guest flat (and the Rodgers’ house) about 8:30am and followed Ben to church, as he had told Steph he needed help picking up a “sermon illustration” along the way. We ended up pulling off the road to grab this huge rock (Steph and Ben hoisted it into the back of his vehicle), and then it took a few Healing Place Church interns and volunteers to clean it up and bring it on stage. You’ll get to see that rock very soon... :)

We spent the first service in “HPC Kids” -- this is just one of the beautiful kiddies that we were able to do life with today.

The second service at HPC is more geared toward the Swazis, so it is English translated into SiSwati, with mostly worship in SiSwati. Just amazing. The people of Swaziland in full-on worship can really put the rest of us to shame. This is a pic of Pastor Ben Rodgers with two great sermon illustrations: “the rock”, and his daughter, sweet Trinity, age 7.

The rest of our day was spent with our sweet friends: Ben and Sooze, Kayla, Levi and Trinity Rodgers, new friends Don and Mary Beth Courier, and of course Mitch and Char Hildebrant. Char and I had fun playing with our camera. It’s the same camera that we’ve had since the States, but it’s the same camera that the Hildebrants have -- she was sharing some tips and tricks with me. The first couple of pictures are from our afternoon drive, and the latter pictures are taken from Mitch and Char’s deck at dusk.

We’ve now been in the country of Swaziland for 14 days and five hours. So thankful for you, our huge team of wonderful pray-ers, senders, lovers, and supporters. We most definitely feel each and every ounce of peace in each step. Miss all of you tons -- can’t wait for you to visit. :)
